Something came up in your background search for clearance

Good day,
I’m really lost and need advice on a situation.
I recently applied for a job with a contractor, and last time they sent me an email saying that “something came up in your background search for clearance, and that they can not give me any opportunities”.
The thing is that I currently have a clearance (I left my federal job months ago due to PSC), and I am extremely stressed about what this might mean.
Please, is there a way I could find out what it is and resolve it? Your help is very appreciated.
Thank you!

Some other people in a similar situation reported (on this site) that they had great difficulty getting any information at all.

PSC? Personal Services Contract???

Anyway another contractor might be able to pick you up. A red flag for one company might be a non-issue for another.

I mispelled PCS (Permanent Change of Station).
My spouse is an active duty, and I left the federal work to relocate.

I am really confused because they won’t tell me what it was.

Thanks!

Get your adjudications records from Scattered Castles, DISS or who ever holds your clearance.

I did get in touch with my previous owner unit, and the feedback I have got is that due to DISS (DCSA) rule, if you are not owned by any agencies or unit in DISS after 30 days, they put you on something called “Lost Jurisdiction” while you still have your clearance. But others will see you in DISS with a status of Loss of Jurisdiction.

To fix it for those who know the new rule have to contact the last unit, and they will help fix the issue or give guidance, but if the contracting company does not have this information, the cleared personnel may need to let them know to contact your last owning agencies for a smooth transition.

Assuming that the issue they talked about is linked to this case.

Thanks!
