I have an active SECRET from the DoD and recently (9/5/17) was hired by private industry to a position that an “active SECRET” was a pre-employment condition. Just recently I was granted a Common Access Card (CAC) from a DoD facility and my clearance was reviewed during that process. Now out of the blue sky I get an e-mail from my employer that a “CAF Notification Received Via JPAS” and a new e-QIP (I already have one for my active SECRET) is being requested. What event could cause this?
