Not a final, but an eod and they asked for my updated resume. But I’m waiting to see how today and tomorrow play out
That’s great news! I’m sure it will work out.
Yes it was the same position, no it was not posted and no interview either. I am waiting for the final offer, submitted all my docs requested last week.
That was the same for me. Just waiting to hear back on the final offer and what the grade/step will be again. Hoping nothing changes.
Congrats! Really hoping I get a call for the position I got a CJO for.
I hope so too! It was the same position title, but I am sure it is in a different team than before.
I appreciate it! Best of luck!
I just saw that Trump signed an executive order freeze on all federal hiring until they have full control of the government so who knows if I will get anything this week now lol.
Unless I missed something, positions involving national security will not be impacted
Awesome! I just read a roll up of what he has done today and it just mentioned freeze on federal hiring, so this is great to hear.
Has anyone had any luck getting a role from the CCL for something other than the Meade facility? I just got put on the CCL today. :\
Yes. I don’t want to say where, but yes.
I’ve been applying to other agencies and contractore jobs.
Apply to my agency, come join me haha.
Ha, I would if it wasn’t in that state!
No worries - I get it! And thank you! That gives me some hope.
Absolutely! I think it will be fine. I was offered the job without an interview as well. I didn’t apply for any new positions either. I will follow up on if it’s the same grade/step. I reached out today and they mentioned it was delayed for some reason so hopefully next week.
I did tell the CCL people that I only wanted to work in the state I live as well. Didn’t want to move.
This makes me feel a lot better haha! I thought I was shooting myself in the foot by requesting not to go up to Maryland - but I genuinely don’t think I could have afforded it.
I’ll keep you posted as well! Best of luck friend!
There is a cost of living adjustment for that area, but I still don’t think it is enough. This is especially true if you are coming in entry-level. I just don’t know how people do it out there. You also have to deal with all the traffic there and the crazy drivers and I am just not about that life.
I decided to try the contractor route as well, though I tried to go to a company supporting a VA agency (using the FSP).
Applied end of November
Accepted offer, signed some CE forms in mid December
Heard back end of January that my eligibility is approved
I was definitely anxious waiting for reciprocity, and will continue to be until I indoc in a few weeks. Hopefully once my butt is in a seat that’ll go away!
