I recently received word that I am there with you now. I am not really sure how I feel about it right now, but with recent posts elsewhere that there may be some sort of hiring hold, I am not sure what will happen.

Yea, it’s frustrating. I’ve got about 8 months until I am removed from the list.
I have a little less than a year. Did you get an email about career fields you have interest in?
Yea, I believe they asked me to pick 2. I just want to get my foot in the door at this point.
Yeah it was the same for me. Unfortunately for me I am not willing to “start over” for a federal job, so if I don’t get the same job then it likely won’t happen.
Yea, I hear that. I plan on applying for everything I am even remotely qualified for.
No luck here. But I hear that there will be a change for the better in hiring practices in the next few weeks

I do, I think patience and hard work will get you where you need to be. Sacrifices are needed but having a positive mindset and the willing to get the position that you want is the most pertinent thing you can do. No one truly loves what they do; care about the overall aspect of the impact you have on this world.
If you want the job, go for it. I think it’s incumbent to be yourself, most importantly to get your future aspirations or endeavors.
Many of us have had timeless of not knowing situations or struggles but it is. This may be a projection, but if you want something……get it. Period. We are not perfect, but no matter the scenario, perseverance is the best way to challenge yourself to exemplify resilience.
I am attempting to speak to a broader audience, even though I’m straight forward. I like or tend to be more transparent, yet I am cognizant of the fact that people, even me have to get a pep talk!
We got this and keep going after your dreams and goals. Only limit on yourself is you. God bless.

Hello all, I’ve been in the same situation for about a month. I haven’t been referred to a new position yet.
Can anyone confirm if we are clearance eligible at a contractor/different agency? I’m finding conflicting answers online and my recruiter didn’t give me a straight answer.
I was told that my clearance is not considered active until I receive a FJO and EOD, and is held with the NSA currently. Additionally, I was told I can apply to other IC positions and let them know I completed suitability, but it would be at the discretion of the agency on how it would be handled.

Are you comfortable with sharing which career field broadly? Computer science, HR, legal, etc…? I understand if not. @bigdaddyy26
