Certificate of Investigation

Hello, I’ve been awaiting the results of an SF-85P public trust re-investigation for awhile. There was one issue on it that I was concerned with, which triggered a full investigation. I FOIAed the full investigation and there was nothing else that came up. Anyway, I had the Certificate of Investigation, signed and dated several days ago, uploaded to my personnel folder, but no additional communications from anyone. The COI just states that a final determination was made by the agency, but no indication of the actual determination. Given I’m still working, am I safe to assume I was adjudicated favorably?

The signed COI means you have met the requirements to be in the position. Nothing further will be provided to you.

Perfect, just what I wanted to hear!

Isn’t the investigation separate from the adjudication in most cases?
