Has anyone heard of CIA appeal success stories, or of reapplying after a year and getting cleared there?
None here but gotta repeat my question from other chats about CIA appeals, why so hard up to work there? If you get denied and it’s easier to get cleared somewhere else, move on.
No none that i know of. I’m one of those. They brought up issues in my SOR that they had already adjudicated positively.
Your reapplication being successful is going to entirely depend on what issues you were denied in the first place. What kind of denial did you face. Was it a suitability or clearance denial?
It can happen. Did they just stop processing, or give you an SOR?
If it said you can reapply in a year, it’s possible whatever it was, is mitigated in one year. If a minor MJ issue is at the crux, by all means stay MJ free and reapply. Major crim offenses? Not so much. Were you denied a clearance?
I was denied a clearance for underage drinking, had a fake ID, and using marijuna a handful of times. I just graduated college.
Most 3 letter agencies will clear if 12 months passed since last use. Depending on how frequent the use was. If you were a heavy user, they at times want another year. I suspect the fake ID is where you wittingly acted to deceive. You aren’t the first teen to do that, won’t be the last. Id give it 12 months, re apply. If your SOR states you were denied a cleanse, you need report that on next one
