Was going through my clearance, did my poly. Two weeks later got
"We regret to inform you that your Conditional Offer of Employment has been rescinded effective immediately.
Please note that this decision does not represent a security clearance denial. When filling out the Standard Form 86 in the future, you should note that you were not denied a security clearance for this specific position."
Called trying to figure out what happened, and my poc said he didn’t know, but I could reapply in a year.
Trying to figure out what happened, and see if I still could a clearance in the future from any sponsor, not only this one.
its a suitability denial, im assuming this was a govt direct hire. They have the ability to rescind your offer if they believe theres a good chance of clearance denial.
Any red flags? Did you admit anything?
The part about “reapply in a year” does sound like verbiage from other suitability denials. But was that in the letter, or just what the HR person said?
If this is a direct hire government position, sometimes they extend offers to more candidates than they need to hire, knowing some may not get cleared or may take a long time. But if that were the case, I don’t think there would be a need to wait to reapply.
Hopefully you will be able to get some more information as to what might have been the issue… although I’m not sure how. Maybe a Privacy Act request to get the details on the investigation.
