I recently was referred to a student trainee position which requires a public trust background check. A few years ago I had wrecked my car with alcohol in my blood. Being a veteran I was able to take my case to a program abd the charges were dismissed. Will this affect my investigation?
It shouldn’t as long as you are honest on the form and don’t try to hide it. An alcohol charge is reportable forever if submitting the sf-86, regardless of the outcome.
