DIA FJO Stall - Go to Congress?

Hello all, I’ve posted on here before about my challenges with DIA. I hoped that when I got my clearance that it would be smooth sailing.

How wrong I was.

I settled for the first billet I could get out of the hiring pool.

Accepted the billet late March.

No FJO yet. I was told I’d get it today. But nothing as of 330 from OHR. It’s been over a month.

I have read online that DIA has big hr problems and tbh it is far worse than I ever imagined.

I have very little to lose anymore after being in this process for a year and a half.

Is there any point in calling Congress and telling them this situation? I know people do it during the security process. Never heard of someone to do it to get something from HR.

Why would you ever do this? Do you think that DIA owes you a job or something? If HR is bad now, just wait until you start.

Yeah, maybe forget it and move on? Get another job and if this happens to comes through later on, that’s just a bonus.

Some agencies take so long that many of their applicants do exactly that. They move on. NSA also has a nasty habit of losing candidates due to hiring delays.

Just continue on with life and when it comes through accept or move on. You might be building this up in your head to be something its not.

I certainly don’t feel entitled to the job. But after going through the clearance process and waiting since 2022, I kinda want to know if it’s happening. A month for an FJO to process seems long to me.

I am still waiting to move into the cleared hiring pool. I have had my CJO since August 2023. I was previsouly employed by DIA and my clearence is in scope.

I would wait another week for HR to give you something. If after a week has expired I would email them back asking where your FJO is. Do you know where you will be working?
