DIA Privacy Act Request Timeline?

Submitted a Privacy Act Request for my records from the DIA related to the pre-employment process in February 2024. Six months later, the request is still in “initial processing,” according the log they publish.

Anyone have experience with getting their records from the DIA under the Privacy Act and how long it took? Looking at the full log history, years doesn’t seem uncommon…

Would asking my congressman for assistance with this speed up the process?

Congressman will not help. They will get a canned answer from agency.

What records are you requesting exactly? You may not be contacting correct agency.

All the records related to my pre-employment process that I’m entitled to under the Privacy Act: SF-86, BI, how they reached the decision to no longer continue with my candidacy, etc. I basically want everything I can get my hands on for my own records.
