The title pretty much. Been jobs searching recently and using clearance jobs, ziprecruiter, and indeed to identify openings and apply directly on company sites. I’m wondering if you guys prefer to apply directly to a company or apply through clearance jobs and other similar websites for cleared work.
I try to work with recruiters on clearancejobs.com who typically send me a link for the job that’s directly on the company website. Just helps to speed the process along. Otherwise, I’d just apply directly to the company.
Gotcha, thank you. Are job applications ever actually submitted through clearancejobs, or is it just a way for you to get in touch with a recruiter? Thanks.
I haven’t done that in the past but I don’t see why not?
I think it just depends - some job listings direct you to a company’s external careers page, but other listings you could easily express interest (sends your info to the recruiter handling the req) which would allow you to hit more jobs in a smaller amount of time. Would definitely respond to all recruiter messages you get on the platform.
Hi, thanks for the info. That’s very helpful. Would you recommend just hitting “I’m interested” instead of just applying? Maybe I’m just understanding this wrong, but from what you said, it seems like a recruiter would actually see my profile if I hit “I’m interested”, while if I applied it just goes in to the regular pool.
