DoD and DHS clearance

Does a Secret clearance obtained from Department of Homeland Security translate into a DoD clearance ?

Reciprocity guidelines state that if you were granted a clearance at the same level as a position you are moving into and the investigation is still within scope then the gaining agency should not require a new investigation be done and can grant a clearance. However, there are different scenarios where an agency would require a new investigation. For instance, if you are separated and 24 months have elapsed then a new investigation is required. Of if your last investigation was adjudicated with conditions. Most often, if no new issues have come up since the last investigation was completed then a clearance is granted by the gaining agency.
