Here I am, thinking about freezing my credit at the 3 credit agencies due to the Equifax breach, when an awful thought crossed my mind. If I freeze my credit, how will it affect the my clearance that is currently being processed for a new contract? I assume credit checks are common. I also assume that if I freeze my credit, it will delay the process even more. 
I suppose have to choose between safeguarding my credit now…or risking it so as not to delay a credit check and the already painfully slow clearance processing.
Not good!!
