Foreign contact and BI

I am currently processing for a TS/SCI and had my subject interview recently. My BI breezed over my foreign contact, asked me who they were what they did for work and that’s it, they didn’t seemed to care much about them. My foreign contact don’t live in the US and most never visited. Is this usually normal for them to not care this much?

There are certain questions Investigators are required to ask and report and if not they get a finger wagging and the case doesn’t close until said information is obtained. Don’t worry, the Investigator reiterating listed foreign contacts on the questionnaire, and asking a couple extra questions, is not the extent of follow up done on foreign contacts, if it were that would be kind of lame.

If you had filled out the SF86 completely, and provided dates of birth, first contact, most recent contact, place of birth, etc, etc (all asked for on the form) then the investigator should have a few questions and just ask you to verify that the information presented is correct. As DueTo mentioned, if the investigator missed something the case will not close. Most likely the investigator would reach back out to you by phone and ask for the additional information. If your contact with FNs is only via social media there is not much to ask.
