Anyone have any insight on how a shutdown affects the adjudication of a completed background investigation? I am being considered for a direct-hire position at State (one of the agencies currently affected by the shutdown). My secret-level clearance has been in adjudication since early-October. From what I am reading re: previous discussions on this blog, investigations will tend to continue during a shutdown, but there isn’t much on the next step of adjudication. Thank you!

Hi, bumping this in case anyone might have information. Hopefully this shutdown mess is resolved soon. Thinking of all the furloughed gov’t employees and contractors, especially.
