Hello all, new to the forum. I am a former active duty Navy serviceman who’s PREVIOUSLY HAD a Top Secret clearance more than 10 yrs ago. How am I able to verify my former clearance eligibility and apply to jobs on this site? Is it possible or am I forever stuck outside the site?
I have a DS login and an ID.me login to verify service as well as my DD-214 document. What else is possible with all this data to submit?
Not telling you to do this but, I think a lot of users on the site have said they have one even if they don’t. It’s very clear even from many posts that say they’re still in the investigation phase and plenty say they have a Public Trust which is not a clearance.
You can’t apply to jobs that require clearances. Your clearance is far out of scope.
Thanks for attempting to help. I really want to find out if my inactive clearance can be validated in some way but it seems it will not be. Ty again.
You need someone who has access to epas, scattered castles (IC) or an entitlements tool. A federal employee or a cleared contractor or a recruiter can check that.
If you don’t know someone who can check that for you, the only suggestion I can think of is, apply to a cleared job. If they call you for an interview, you can say you think you still have eligibility but not sure, can they check for you?
But like bebe said, 10 years, I doubt it. Try applying for jobs that will sponsor you.
