Hey all,
I have asked about this is this group before, But i forgot to include some things that may provide more context.
I recently received a suitability denial for a support position from the FBI. I am waiting on two analyst offers for entry level college programs in the IC. For context, I am 23 and everything below has been disclosed.
Red Flags
- One night when I was 17 (6 years ago), I sold nudes of pornographic actresses to strangers on the internet (catfished) using kik. I also accepted money for sex from one person. This was a scam and not an attempt to prostitute myself. I woke up ashamed and deleted everything.
- When I was 18 (5 years ago), I was the manager of my college baseball team and I took a previous season’s bat and a pair of sunglasses. I was not caught.
- When I was 18, I had a pocketknife in my dorm room. I was not aware it was not allowed. It was discovered by RA’s and I was given an official warning. Law enforcement was not involved.
- When I was 20 (3 years ago), I did not file taxes when I was required to. To avoid a long post, it was not intentional and I thought I had filed. I filed in Janurary of this year when I realized the mistake.
- When I was 20 (3 years ago), I had a few beers to many at a neighbors house and drove home. I was not caught.
- When I was 20( 3 years ago), I cheated on an undergrad exam and owned up to my professor. I lost 10 points and nothing was reported to the university.
Green Flags
- Completed an undergrad and masters
- Well reviewed by employers
- No drug use
- Limited foreign contacts
- Good financial situation
With this info in mind, should I expect other suitability denials?
