How big of a deal is being hospitalized for a Public Trust Position?

I am under the impression that many Public Trust jobs have you fill out an SF-86, which would require disclosures of hospitalizations.

How big of a deal is it to have been hospitalized if you are applying for a Public Trust Position?

Most public trusts will have you filling out an SF85.

But even if its not directly asked about, what will the background investigator and adjudication team think when they discover it during the investigation?

If you’re not required to disclose it, don’t. They probably wont find out about it.

If they do, they won’t bat an eye.

So, when I interview with the background investigator, they won’t ask something to the effect of, “Why did the police bring you to the ER? What happened there?”
