I failed to have TS about 10 years ago, do I still have a chance?

My wife and I went through the TS with compartment process a few years ago. Due to my language expertise, I see tons of gov or contractor jobs that fit my skill set. I worked for the US Army as a contractor for a few years. I am still interested in linguistics related jobs. Do I have a chance for TS clearance if I apply?

Thanks very much.

Although not clear, it appears either you or your wife were denied a TS 10 years ago. Anything that happened that long ago is mitigated by time, so all you can do is ask yourself if you fill out the SF-86 what will pop up and is it serious enough?

Concur. You will need state if you had any revocation or denials. That will mean they scope out the reasons.
