Multiple red flags

I’ll be brief. I have applied and feel good about the interview, I’m well qualified for the position at hand, however.

Seeking Q clearance with the following issues. I’m only asking if I’m waisting my time or if I stand a chance. I am being completely transparent and forthcoming, not minimizing anything.

The red flags:

-DUI while in the Army 10+ years ago general under honorable conditions for this.
-fired for falling asleep on night shift, 7 years ago

  • pled guilty to misdemeanor theft of $300/ official misconduct 6 years ago (I didn’t turn in money confiscated from a drug arrest as a volunteer deputy (rural America thing)
  • Federal debt, of under 4K, for a military debt. (Debt was sent to my military address and I discovered this by calling DFAS while looking at this job opening) didn’t ever appear on credit report. Paying off via credit card.

The good-

My credit score is 700
I have no missed or late payments on anything in the last 7 years

  • I have rehabilitated from both criminal events via re payment, completion of court requirements, community service, no further criminal events
  • NO drug use or activity.
-in good standing working in a public trust position (EMS) since theft crime
  • good references
  • No foreign contacts
  • no alcohol issues or excessive use etc.

I could see the clearance going either way. But the suitability may be tough
