I was separated from my contract back in April where the position held a TS SCI CI poly, I was told that I have an opened adjudication with the MD customer, my FSO told me to apply for TS SCI jobs I’ve been out of work for 6 months - I recently was told that I’m ineligible to apply for cleared jobs, because my clearance is now in LOJ status. With me having a clearance thats LOJ and an open adjudication, will it be complicated for company to reinstate my clearance and if i was to apply for a company that willing to sponsor my clearance?
Can you find out reason for LOJ through foia request or do you have contact an fso to get those details if possible at all? I have a TS, get pitched contracts all the time but was told I was disqualified, but they would say more.
Thank you for the feedback. I made a foia request this summer it came back in about 60 days.
I can’t believe you are “ineligible” to apply, but many companies will be reluctant to hire you for fear it will take a long time to put you to work, since that will require a final adjudicated clearance. Many firms are on these contracts with numerous other companies and they are more or less competing with each other to get the customer to bring their candidate on board ahead of the other “teammates”
I think what has to happen in this case is you have to find a company willing to hire you and put you in for a completely new investigation. In most cases, they won’t put you on the payroll until you’re cleared, unless they’ve got unclassified work for you.
Great feedback! Thanks
