Hi,
I am a recent college graduate hired by a contractor as a BI. I do have a question that I feel like some of you could do give insight on:
What are common positions/career paths that people take after working as a BI? Obviously this could vary widely but I was wondering if anyone had noticed any trends on what BI’s move onto next.
Depending on one’s skill a private investigator position would seem natural. You will develop the ability to see through smoke and mirrors after a while. If you are really good at interviewing people and collecting data, it is very useful for any kind of information collection position. Insurance investigator is another area.

PERSEC specialist (or anything PERSEC related), security consulting, criminal investigations, general investigations. If outside/unrelated to the public sector then compliance work (i.e., BSA/AML industry).
