Hi everyone. Just requesting some insight on the process. I took some assessments that NSA sent me and I’m hoping I passed. I took them about 3 weeks ago. Was just wondering how long did it take for you guys to hear back from them regarding the next steps after the assessments? I keep checking my emails and the portal seeing if there was a pass/fail notification. Sigh, I just need to occupy myself with something else. I also understand that things take forever regarding federal employment. Just curious about everyone’s experiences and timeline. Thanks in advance!
For me, I did my Hirevue interview on 11/23/23, and 12/21/23 I received a placeholder offer for the position that I did the interview for. When I say “placeholder”, this involved a position I didn’t explicitly apply for, but a hiring manager who must’ve been interested in my background after I applied for another position and initiated another interview process on top of the one I applied for. My original offer’s timeline from application to CJO was 11/1/23 applied, 11/8/23 interview completed, 12/5/23 CJO
I took assessments 5 weeks ago, and have yet to hear back. No changes on my portal, no emails, and as far as I know no way to check on my scores. I’m not sure if it’s a good or bad sign or even just typical speed for this kind of thing. So you’re not alone!
If you are talking about the initial assessments after you apply, then you may or may not hear anything back. If you do get selected for an interview, they will send you a HireVue link to complete the interview. After that it will take a little while to find out if you are going to get a CJO. For me, it took ~6 weeks from initial application to interview request. After my interview, it took ~6 weeks to get notice that I was selected to move forward. Since then it has just been security forms and waiting for my polygraph.
Good luck! Hope this answers your question.
You will either get an interview email or a non-select email. In my case (I applied for three total jobs), the interview email came faster than the non-select email.
