NSA to DIA transfer

Hello all,

TS/SCI/FSP moving to a different position within the same company. However, my clearance transfer from NSA to DIA. I have submitted all the documents that was received from my FSO. All documents were submitted in December. I’m just curious how long this will take. Thanks

I was going to say it shouldn’t take more than a couple of weeks, but then I re-read your post and saw you submitted paperwork back in December. So I can’t imagine what the hold up might be except waiting for the right person to log on and go to the right website and open the right tab and click on the right button… which can take an AWFULLY long time sometimes.

See if you can find another position supporting NSA

Thanks @sbusquirrel. I still have hope for now. Shows in progress on my company’s portal. I’m scared, hopefully not longer than 4 to 6 months.

I was told recently , few months ago, that DIA is running a significant backlog on “crossovers”.

Thank you @bebe1979 at least I now have peace of mind. I was scared thinking something is not right. I don’t know how long it will take. I’m currently doing interviews for another company seems like I’m getting offer soon. Hope this might not bring any issues if both companies trying to do crossover? I might be able to do both. I will update my FSO regarding this as well. Please advise if you are aware of this kind of situation. Thanks.

If you are in adjudication with DIA and the other contract is at DIA also, it won’t speed up the process, infact, it could slow it down.

Also, if you are trying to get adjudicated with another agency , they “may” be able to see it depending on how hard they look.

From experience, Adjudicators can be cool and can also be over zealous pricks with chips on shoulders. It’s just a crap shoot unfortunately and is all personally based. Some wont even make the effort to interview you if an issue comes up, they will just deny you.
