Is it unusual to be asked to only fill out pages 1, 5 and 6 of SF-85?
no, it is not normal for the background investigation. Your company might be trying to do a prescreen.
I have a tentative offer from the federal government and after submitting those completed pages, I was called in to do finger prints and picture taken for my badge. Without being specific, I applied as a “Recent Graduate” so the pages omitted contained previous employers, previous addresses and schools attended. I might add that they have a copy of my resume. It is really bugging me. After the fingerprints I was told if everything cleared, I should expect a firm offer and a start date in less than a week’s time. Has anyone had a similar experience?
