Peraton Or CACI

Leave regardless of any payback. Your mental health is much more valuable.

I went part time with CACI back at the beginning of the year and it was a good decision for me. I am only expected to do 20 hours of work but I can do up to 40 if I want (I can do over 40 if OT is approved at the time). I decide if I want to do over 20 that week or not. If it’s been a stressful week I can take it easy, if I’m feeling like I can conquer the world then I can do more. My insurance didn’t change. My days off are accrued at half the amount for part time but that’s the only difference. You can call and talk to HR about your options without notifying your supervisor first. Your supervisor does not have to know that you are gathering info. Your supervisor only has to know when you actually decide and make the request.

What are you hating at CACI? I was a background investigator at CACI for 7 years, left to go to another vendor, and came back to CACI less than 6 months later. If you just hate the work in general/this industry, I would recommend leaving completely and not switching to a different vendor.

Couldn’t agree more with this. I think everyone has different opinions and many spend too much time on here spreading negativity. There’s subs and primes, and some people may like one place more than another - but if it’s the work you dislike, switching vendors won’t help. Neither will bashing other organizations on this blog instead of providing helpful information.

I’m not sure where you’re getting your information from - as my current compensation at Xcelerate is higher than anywhere else I’ve interviewed. I also don’t know what quota you’re referring to? Just trying to provide helpful info to anyone in this field like everyone else. Harsh comments aren’t appreciated.

Exactly. Well said. High five :raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed:

The work itself isn’t the issue. It’s the companies treating investigators like modern-day slaves with their setting “unrealistic” expectations all within a 40-hour work week.

Yeah that is the bad part that exists through out the whole industry. Switching vendors will not help you in this case. There are so many variables. Having a good supportive manager makes all the difference, and you can find those at all companies - it just depends on if you’re lucky enough to get one. I came back to CACI strictly because my section lead is amazing. I won’t badmouth the one at the other vendor, but I will say that they were not as supportive and more of a people pleaser to upper management (most likely to save their own job, which I don’t blame them for). It’s rough out here.
