Hello, could use some input from anyone who has knowledge or experience on this topic.
Anyone know the timeline for adjudication for a public trust background investigation for a Dept. of Treasury law enforcement officer position? My background investigator from DCAS was nice enough to let me know that his report was submitted to the sponsor last week.
I saw that it’s 14 days now for adjudication on Secret clearance for DOD position. Any idea how long for a public trust for a Dept. of Treasury position? Any input would be highly appreciated. I am excited that I’m moving closer to possibly having a new job.
Hello. It depends on which bureau of Treasury you applied with. Most of the bureaus are somewhat current on getting their adjudications done with the exception of the IRS. They have been trying to get adjudicators from other bureaus to help them with their backlog of cases. I know my Treasury bureau is mostly current getting cases processed.
Thank you so much! I am really excited. Hearing this helps me have some kind of idea on the possible wait time for adjudication. Hopefully I hear something soon.
Would it be a bad idea for me to contact someone from HR at the Bureau to follow up on my status for adjudication? The background investigation was closed last week of April. Or should I just continue to wait? Any input would be greatly be appreciated. Sorry if these questions are kind of stupid. I’m new to all of this stuff.

Offer in October.
Fingerprints and photo for access card early November.
Just checked my credit reports and none have been pulled.
Any idea of the wait?
