Public trust and previous civil restraining order

Good morning,

I am presently a federal employee in a non-sensitive low-risk position. I have been offered a non-sensitive moderate-risk position with another agency.

I have two questions. Will I have to complete an SF-85p for a background investigation for the new position? I previously had a civil restraining order against me approximately 5 years ago for a period of about 6 months. There was no associated arrest or criminal charges. Would this preclude me from passing the appropriate public trust investigation? This issue was not previously investigated as it was outside the scope of any questionarre.

Thanks for your help

It is not disqualifying for a Tier 2 public trust investigation as long as you disclose all required information on the SF-85P and no more recent conduct has occurred.
