Public Trust for Green Card Holder (Permanent Resident)

Hello,
I know there are different type of clearances and all of them require US citizenship. Since Public Trust is not even considered as a clearance but required by many employees, can I obtain it as a Green Card holder?

Job listings will indicate “US Citizenship required” if it is needed for the level of clearance/public trust associate with the position. I think I’ve seen some listings on USAJobs for federal jobs that do not require citizenship, but not too many.

Yes you can. I had an assignment with VA department. And I was green card holder at the time. And I obtained a public trust.
