The Senate recently passed a bill called the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 with an intent to provide exclusivity, consistency, and transparency in security clearance procedures for Intelligence Community agencies with the right of government employees to appeal unfavorable eligibility determinations to an agency-level panel.

Long overdue. Particularly in situations where negative info, incident reports are created after a person is walked off. They are left in limbo. With this step many of petty or retribution type incident reports won’t be filed. If they cannot provide a written record and stand behind a submission…they are less likely to file them.
