Long story short, got laid off from my previous employer, got offer for contract position with NGA, clearance crossover was initiated from previous IC customer (VA), going on 9 weeks now. Hold a TS/SCI but out of access for a few months now. Should I be concerned, or have crossovers been taking longer than expected as of late? My FSO reaches out weekly with “no update yet from NGA on crossover”.
Crossovers seem to be all over the place. Some take no more than a few days, others can take a while (as you are finding out). And don’t expect any updates until you hear “OK you’re good to go” or “sorry we need to do a new investigation” (which can and does happen).
