Hello, there I am a 24 year old going to get their first job with a contractor. That being said I just wanted to see how my case is looking in terms of red flags:

  1. Smoked Marijuana between 2020-2022 and havent since then. Never fully habitual as I would go months without smoking more times than not.
  2. Tried LSD two times: October 2021 and 2022.
  3. I have family that live out the country. I don’t keep up with many but traveled out the country 2 years ago and stayed in their houses(also met some members for food but I don’t keep up with them and my FSO told me to put them down).

I haven’t touched drugs since then and I don’t even drink alcohol. That being said how would you say my chances are looking?

I would think you have a good shot… but note that when you get to the poly and say you smoked weed (or took acid or huffed or whatever) five times, the interviewer will respond with, are you sure it wasn’t ten times? And are you sure the last time was 2022… couldn’t have been later?

So make sure you are certain of the timelines and stick to that TRUTHFUL answer… because if you go in saying you smoked weed five times and the last time was 2002 but you end up saying well maybe it was more like 20 times and the last time was 2023… then you may be in trouble.
