TS/SCI CI poly still waiting

Here’s my timeline
02/2023 submitted sf86
08/2023 BI reached out to me and friends/coworkers
12/2023 investigation closed
01/2024 TS granted eligibility
03/2024 SCI granted eligibility
04/2024 took my poly was told that I passed after the exam
And I’m still waiting, it has been couple of months since my poly and FSO tells me that still waiting for an update.
Last week I had to resubmit SF86C not sure why
How long will it take? And this is for a contractor position.

Also, am I able to work at other contractor position since I have eligibility til my poly is adjudicative?

That is not unheard of. Could be that the funding wasn’t there on the position you applied for and then they found more money.

Did you have a clearance before?

To answer your question, YES, you can apply to other jobs and be able to use clearance theoretically but SOMETIMES, the clearance is not adjudicated until you start a position. That’s why i ask if you had one previously.

I never had a clearance before, it’s my first time and they had me sign the SF312 but it’s taking a while for my polygraph

Probably because it has been over a year since you submitted the original SF86

They may not have the funding for your position then. You can start a job without poly in most cases if direct hire.

Oh okay, how would I list that when they ask for clearance? Would it be active, current, eligible? I was told that I’m suppose to put none?

You could say, “eligible for access to SCI based on a background investigation completed March 2024” or something like that. If you have the exact date the investigation completed that would be better.

You would have to request your file for Scattered Castles or DISS to know if you really are eligible being that some agencies don’t adjudicate that until you start. That’s why i asked if this was your first clearance. If this was just a periodic investigation then it would be different.

You resubmit the signatures when they blow suspenses. I waited 5 months after poly to finally “re-clear”. Normally they move faster after submitting the refreshed signatures. Not much to suss out at this point
