Using a NSA clearance from the CCL to get another cleared position

Hello everyone,

So I currently have a Top Secret clearance working at my CTR. However, before I had this job - I was in processing for a software engineering position at the NSA that required a TS/SCI + FS polygraph. I believe I was adjudicated, but the position was filled so I am on the CCL and the clearance validity expires in July, as per their recruitment team.

(edit: I was given two dates on when my suitability expires - July 2025 and December 2025. Not sure which is true.)

Nonetheless, I am unsure if I should put TS, TS/SCI, or the the “Intel Agency/NSA” option.

Another part of this is: since I have an adjudicated NSA clearance, can this be utilized in a crossover so that I can put the “Intel Agency” option?

I put DOD. The phone screener usually clears it up. Also, I am going to guess that your med was in July of 2024 and your last poly was in December of 2024. That is typically how they break down the two dates.

Regardless, you have a clearance. You can definitely cross over. Apply anywhere and everywhere

Hi @bigdaddyy26,

Thanks for answering so quickly. There’s questions that my FSO is missing on parts of the Customer Service Request required to make a crossover request on DISS - did you just reach out to Security about getting the missing information, or did they have access to SC already?

I think they had to call the agency to verify, but I could be mistaken
