During the early summer months I interviewed for both a contractor’s position as well as permanent positions with the federal government. While I believed that the interview for the federal position went well, I decided that whichever came through first …I would go with. Note that I have on one occasion in which I did not pass the public trust over a year ago. The federal contractor position was offered three weeks ago. I completed the OF306 and e-QIP for a HIGH Public Trust and within a few days I picked up my GFE and PIV. A week later I received an offer letter with the federal agency in which I had interviewed. I realize its not a good look to entertain another offer so quickly…but it is for a permanent federal position. I am concerned that the federal agency may not go with reciprocity or the waiver as noted. Should the new review for the permanent federal position not agree with the waiver given, will their decision impact my current contractor waiver/position?
