Earlier on this year, I bumped a curb while driving late at night and was pulled over for suspected DUI. I was read my rights, and subjected to the Field Sobriety Tests, upon completion of which I was let go with no citations or even a warning.
I currently hold a security clearance, and I’m wondering if, when it comes time for renewal, this will count as an arrest that I should report?
Somebody said that when they were having a discussion with an investigator on this very topic, the investigator asked, “have you ever been in the back of a police car?”
I’m not sure if that is an official standard but it is something to keep in mind. I don’t think what you have described counts as being under arrest, more like a traffic stop.
