Xcelerate/GDIT don’t have much DHS work and almost no Intel work. The work they do have they farm out for Jerry Lewis telethons to their hourly employees. They rarely give work to CI’s when the workload is low.
The DHS side of Xcelerate Solutions isn’t worth anyone’s time. They discount the payment to conduct work telephoncially or via VTC which the customer/agency actually encourages. It’s unfair and absurd to discount payments to an Contract Investigator on a fee payment schedule if we are encouraged (if not mandated by DHS) to conduct work remotely.
Have seen this across the industry with Omni dropping 200+ people, there was an entire Washington Business Journal article about it last week.

I don’t think Omniplex can weather the storm much beyond another six to nine months. I’ve never seen the work volume so low with Omniplex. I expect more layoffs and more and more CI’s cut off from the contract.
I’ve heard about the OMNI layoffs and terminations too recently - too many of my good friends have been impacted by this. Not sure what’s going on at Xcelerate, but the folks that I know that work there or have in the past enjoy it there.
