Any luck with NSA Cleared Candidate List?

I was placed on the list around the same time. Unfortunately, no interviews. That said, I have an offer from an NSA prime contractor.

That is interesting about the interview. I was just offered a position, which makes me think it was my original position and they just didn’t want to fill it because of uncertainty around the new administration at the time.

Just saw Trump is signing a EO for several Fed Departments to cut employees in half, and to limit hiring to almost nothing…

At a quick glance, that EO still has the disclaimer that it shouldn’t affect things like public safety and national security. I’m still in adjudication but I’m struggling to stay optimistic.

Unfortunately, they both will be hit… National Security will be next, with CIA and homeland being taken out by Doge… How much they will be hit is the issue? They keep saying DEI is what they are looking for, but I honestly think that is just an excuse to do other things…

Public safety locally has been hit… FD have been limited or not able to get granting, and such.

Hey question for you, if you don’t mind me asking, have you been placed on the cleared candidate list?

Let’s not lose hope just yet. I am anxious too, knowing there’s nothing I can do but wait. I keep checking my application status regularly and occasionally get updates from contacts inside the community, of which I’ll share what I can here. Fingers crossed!

Well I did finally get my FJO today. Same as my original CJO from when this process started. Now to see if the FJO holds up, but I won’t lie and say I’m not concerned about cuts. Especially with some of the posts I have seen on /rFedNews about people on probation suddenly just being cut. Lots to think about before my EOD date arrives.

How far out is your EOD?

Two months was the soonest they offered.

I wonder if they offer different EOD’s based on job title.

What field is the position?

I am not sure. I wouldn’t imagine so as I believe there is an orientation for everyone entering work there. I do know that with the government you have to start at the start of a pay period, so it is only possible to start once every two weeks.

I am not willing to discuss that here as I don’t want to dox myself with anyone. I did look at your post history though to see if you posted yours, and I will say it is not a SWE position.

Good to know, thanks. Best of luck! Hopefully I’ll see you there!

Hopefully! I don’t know if everyone goes to the same course regardless of what station they are at. Guess we will find out.

Everything went fine with your clearance crossover from NSA to contractor? Going through the process now.

It took 4 days for your clearance to be reinstated?

It sounds like you haven’t been briefed, so you are not currently in access. If you were briefed and your clearance was activated, the process would be quick! No idea how transfer works prior to briefing. Technically, you are just clearance eligible, but do not actually hold it yet. Anyone’s guess for how long/what the process is to pick up an eligible but not active. Good luck!

I was told from the contractor that it could take up to several months to ā€œreinstateā€ the clearance, but there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to the whole process. The contractors client is NSA, so I am hoping this is in my favor since I received my clearance from them.
