Any luck with NSA Cleared Candidate List?

I’m sure there’s hoops that the contractor has to jump through to get your eligibility on their books and get you indoc’d under their sponsorship. I imagine you won’t have an issue clearance wise, just will have to wait the imaginary amount of time to get you transferred over. Fingers crossed it won’t be too long!

As we all know, the clearance process is nothing but hoops. Been hearing 3-4 weeks since it’s under 12 months. We shall see! I appreciate your support!

Anybody heard anything abut how the hiring freeze will impact Meade?

I heard today that no guidance has been released yet. However, they do fall under the DoD so I expect it will happen soon.

FWIW, I have been told the same thing. Have you accepted a hard offer from a contractor?

I am already a contractor. Wanted to go fed for more stability, but who knows if that is actually the case now lol.

I accepted a job with a contractor, but waiting for clearance reinstatement.

Lets say you accept a position with NSA and then are let go shortly after because of DOGE. Would you have to pay back relocation in that instance?

I was put on CCL the summer of 2024. After a few months on the list I was finally offered FJO and EOD for May ‘25. I’m currently underemployed and this position would require moving me and my family across the country.

Fellas stay put. Had a 3/10 eod. Yesterday around 3, I got a call from HR confirming that I was exempt from the freeze. Then at 8, I got a call saying that I was no longer good to go and I was being put on hold. They hope to start me on 3/24, but there are no guarantees of anything.

That makes a little bit of sense given congress has to pass a budget/CR on time. So if it seems they might even ‘possibly’ shut down for a few days - having people scheduled to start when things ‘might’ be shut down seems risky.

Fingers crossed for you this month.

I “liked” the post but it is certainly not good news. At least you’re on hold and may still get a start date in the not too distant future.

I’m praying. I drove 9 hours to get to the job and they called me to delay it when I was 15 minutes away

I just completely moved to Meade area last week. Suppossed to EOD 3/10. Received call from recruiter at 1pm on Friday 3/7 telling me everything is good for Monday… received an email at 3pm saying there was a freeze, but my eod on Monday is good to go… then 8pm received a phone call telling me that it is cancelled, not to report, and I have to wait to hear from my recruiter or receive further guidance via email. Also received an email Saturday saying that maybe things will be ready 3/24.
I spent thousands of dollars doing this move, also had orders and a fully signed FJO… how can they just do this? They could hold me to a contract, but I cant hold them to it?
I’m suppossed to be ok with them pushing my eod to 3/24 “maybe”. And I’m just SOL when it comes to paying for everything that got me here. I left a job in Nov in Germany, paid completely out of pocket to move myself for this future opportunity… received my FJO in Feb. Arrived last week, and now I get that phone call at 8pm on a Friday.
This is insane. Beyond frustrated.
Who else is in this situation?

I’m sorry this happened. This is honestly the exact situation I am scared of. I have a good job, but was going to take a pay cut for security and being where I wanted to be. I know once I leave this job the bridge will be burned (that kinda boss), so I have to be extremely sure that I would start as I am the only one who works and supports a family. Honestly I might just tell them I can’t accept anymore because of the uncertainty, but I don’t want to burn this bridge either……

This is super shitty. The entire situation sucks, for those on the outside looking in and for those who just got in like me (although different agency). I took a job in the IC for the job security, now im just hoping to not be cut after uprooting and moving my family 1600 miles away. Total shitshow, hope it works out for you and all of us.

Sorry to hear this. My EOD is in May so I’m hoping everything is cleared up by then. I’m a new grad too trying to finally get that post graduation job. I’d also be uprooting my family across the country. I thought when I got the FJO and EOD all the stress of job searching would disappear. Instead it has amplified.

I hope you are not impacted by cuts. It is a dumpster fire of worry for sure.
My suggestion is to be frugal until we get through this.

It is stressful. I believe it will clear up. Stay with it. Relocating is never easy.

The only reason this is happening is due to the “gov shutdown” possible 14 Mar. I know that the situation will change once the budget is approved. As of Sat there is a CR, which appears to be in good favor of passing this coming week.
I also know now after reading between the lines of the news, that this is a result of them not agreeing on continued funding Friday the 7th… so with an impending shutdown possible, its not in their best interest to start onboarding Monday and then shutting down Friday. They would have to repeat onboarding.
If you are pending the job and relocation I would still encourage it. I know my situation will turn around. I just got caught up at a real inconvenient time with all the gov things going on and a start date.
