My clearance is TS/SCI with FS and is current but not active. I’m moving to a new contract and in the crossover process. But it’s been almost 3 weeks and the crossover still in process. The HR and security director of my company emailed and ask but still got no update. Could it be something wrong with my clearance?
I normally got crossovers done in 3 days. If you are visible in same system…it literally comes up on same page. When was your last sf86? If it was close to 5 years they may request a fresh 86. I call this the “no, no, no” check meaning no arrests, no drugs, no foreign contacts. This can facilitate the crossover, but a second 86 is immediately put into the que for a full BI.
My BI was only 2 years ago. No new updates. They didn’t even request me to fill out a new sf86. Just need to sign the credit release. Asked the HR and they only said that it’s slow.
