Clearance Renewal/Investigation

How can I tell if my clearance is still active? I was claid off in April 2013 and my Secret clearance was active through October 2014. I started a new job via tech recruiting firm as subcontractor on a project. In September 2014, I was told the project will require all those supporting it to have Secret clearance. I got laid off from that positiop in April 2015, but no cl.earance re-investigation took place during the time I was on contract via the tech recruiting firm.

You should have been debriefed when you left employment, thereby your clearance being administratively withdrawn and no longer active. Should you be employed again in a position that needed one you would undergo a reinvestigation before being granted a final clearance again.
