I have an interview for an entry-level investigator position next week. Do you have any pointers on what I should say or ask during the interview?
Also, the job ad states that travel could be up to 25%. I was under the impression that there was way more than 25% of travel. Has something changed with how investigations are conducted?
I am guessing that the 25% travel refers to out of local area travel. Within 50 miles of your base is the norm for case assignments. At times the employer may ask you to go beyond that, or to go to another area of the country for a set period of time, known as a TDY.
As for what to ask;
what metrics you are evaluated on;
do they allow you to charge for non case time (ie, administrative tasks, extra drive time if you are sent out of area,)
what is the career progression;
what is the remediation if you do not meet the metrics.
