Crossover/transfer? denied due to unajudicated information

I am currently unemployed (since May 2024) and have a ts/sci fsp. I left my high stress job to spend more time with my baby and finally deal with my PPD. It has been 6 months and I’m ready to return to work and I’m looking at a variety of different jobs and companies supporting the IC and DOD. FSOs have checked my clearance status in both DISS and SC and they found nothing derogatory. I decided to take a CJO to the same gov entity I was in before I quit but a different contract. However, I just got a crossover denial due to “unadjudicated information” and must go back into the system as an initial. I apparently was never re-enrolled in Continuous Evaluation back in 2022 so the company FSO believes something must have been flagged in the system back then that hasn’t been resolved. The company has effectively ghosted me, so I have no idea what to do next.

Will other IC or DoD entities deny my crossover too or does this effectively mean I don’t have a clearance anymore?
Is the gov entity still reviewing the issue now that I am no longer employed with them? If so, how will I know if/when it has been resolved?
Will an initial take just as long for me as it did for someone who has never held a clearance?
How long does a FOIA request take to get my clearance information and whatever was flagged in 2022 that needs to be adjudicated?

Something similar happened to me but I was laid off because of funding as a contractor. Held a FSP at the time for 7 years with no issues at all. I found another contractor job and when they went to do the crossover I got the unadjudicated information. I list the job and I had to find another company that would sponsor me for the FSP. After 6 months of looking I finally found a sponsor. I was unemployed those 6 months. I had to go back to work so I talked to another agency and they used an old background investigation that did not have the unadjudicated information and I was allowed to work there while my new initial FSP background investigation was started. I had to start all over like I never had a clearance before. It took me 10 months to get the FSP back. Once I was told that I was cleared again I quit the one agency job and started using the FSP.

I really appreciate your responses, both here and my question before. Are you in IT? Just wondering how you found a sponsor. My background is in intel so pretty hard to find any contracts that sponsor initial clearances.

Do you know if this is the only way to go back? Do you know if they will adjudicate the issue without us employed with the customer?

I am in IT. It took 6 months to find a sponsor but I went on indeed and searched for able to obtain or will sponsor clearance. The customer told my FSO that if I ever wanted to work for them again I would have to have an initial FSP completed. I do not know about your last question if they adjudicate. Maybe a security person can answer that for you.

Keep in mind, One system may say unadjudicated info and the other may not.
