DCSA work picking up?

ICE/CBP isn’t a political or moral issue here. We’ve had immigration laws for decades and decades through each political party that have enforced immigration laws. We have borders and sovereign laws in our nation for a reason. Without laws and borders we have chaos and lawlessness that we saw from 01/2021 through 12/2024 when millions were let into our country without being “vetted”. I’m for legal immigration. This is a common sense approach. We vet people for security clearances to determine if they can handle sensitive, classified, and national security information. We should do the same “vetting” for foreign nationals who want to enter our country. In fact that is the exact reason we have immigration laws in the first place and any American citizen that doesn’t want those laws to remain or be enforced have to accept the direct result of not enforcing those laws which is chaos, lawlessness, more crime, and a negative economic financial impact.

I stand by the good men and women of our federal law enforcement of ICE/CBP. By and large they are doing the best they can possibly do in a very difficult situation with millions of undocumented people in our country because of a past administration that didn’t enforce our immigration laws on the books. Are there officers within ICE/DHS that need better training or need to be removed if they are not good officers? Sure just like there are some bad eggs in every profession from police officers, sheriff deputies, attorney’s, physicians, and the dishonest and unethical Background Investigators that lack integrity in our profession. Root these people out and remove them for the better whole of each specific industry they work in but for all that is holy and sacred, we only have a nation if we have laws and a strong federal government that enforces those laws.

For those of you that don’t want to work the DHS cases, that’s fine by me. That gives more work to those of us hungry for the work and need the work.

You can be for strong borders and anti illegal immigration and still have internal conflict with the way things are currently being done. They are mutually exclusive.

I’m much more concerned about the millions of dollars being poured into left wing facist groups that actively riot and protest and agitate federal law enforcement officers, and Democrats governors and mayors that facilitate such things to happen in our great nation. That’s the real problem. And I did address the concern of those ICE officers that need better training or removed if their actions are criminal of any nature. You must have glossed over that part of my post.

If anything about this job disturbs you and doesn’t agree withy your beliefs I really think you should take a stand and resign rather than being conflicted. Resign today and stand up for what you believe in!! This is very important and will send a message. There are many other jobs where you won’t be placed in this horrible situation. Let us know where you end up. Best wishes.

The “good men and women” of ICE like the ones who have already been kicked out of the military, have multiple domestic violence charges, and direct ties to drug cartels. And that’s just my caseload from the last two weeks.

Exactly why I don’t work DHS

If they’re part of your caseload, are you saying they are applicants? If so, how can you disparage an entire agency and their current agents for the backgrounds of those who will probably be weeded out due to the issues you highlighted? Do you paint other agencies (like the IC) with a similar broad brush when you come across derogatory info for their applicants?

That’s wonderful news for those who need the work. I don’t need money bad enough to be bogged down with all the red tape of this or intel. I only want easy cases too haha (not happening currently though).

That’s true! No judgement from my end. To each is own.

When did this become a political forum? Take it to Facebook or Instagram

Has no place here.

That’s your political opinion. I think it’s a good idea for everyone involved in the investigation field to follow the government investigation funding/hiring/priorities if you are going to know where the “investigation” money is going and how to steer your career to prosperity.

Well said. I can’t believe investigators are on here complaining about DHS. If they feel that strongly they should immediately remove themselves from the DHS contract and join the ones interfering with official government business.

It’s one thing to advise people to refrain from working the contract if they feel a certain way, but calling out people with different opinions and values isn’t appropriate. We need to be bigger than the banter that goes on nowadays.

This is literally a forum for investigators to complain, comment, or complement all investigative contracts. Why are you surprised?

Are they being vetted at all though? I have creds with two of the big subs, and there is literally no work.

It seems like the only work is records checks; not much more than that.

Please God, send more work so people will be too busy to barf up all their ideologies on this forum, amen.

Political idealogies, whichever way they blow, are the way work is generated or reduced. We all need to pay attention to, discuss, and have them. Without them, we become 1984.

Not really….you just do your job, which has nothing to do with politics. If you understand the job, which I’ve done 25 yrs, and you follow the guides, none of them ask what you think about what you’re being told to do and none ask your opinions or political views. Sorry, you’re a glorified messenger and neither the government or your employer wants you personal knowledge, imput, ideas, or thoughts. You’re not that important ma’am/sir.

If you don’t think that political idealogies and elected politicians are what funds government investigations of every size, shape, and color…..you need to stop “just doing your job” like a drone and go back to civics class.
