DOD IC Crossover - new CV re-enrollment?

I’m being put in for a crossover clearance for NGA. I’m already enrolled in CE, but my new FSO says that they want me to fill out a new SF86 for CE/CV again since DCSA requested “Supplemental Information”. Since I’m already in CE, is this part of the crossover process? Should I be worried about this? My investigation is less than 1 year in scope, and I was just enrolled in CE back in September 2025.

Who knows what’s going on here, but it is not unusual to be asked to fill out a new SF-86. In days gone by they might have just asked for the SF-86C which just asks you to say if anything changed (its like a one-page form unless you have to attach sheets to explain “yes” answers).

I think they are still figuring out this CE/CV stuff, especially when it comes to crossovers.

BLUF: This is not unusual and is normal.

EXTRA INFORMATION: Being in the CE/CV programs means everyone has to submit a new “SF86” (the questionnaire will change in the future) at least every 5 years. Your could be asked to submit a new questionnaire under the random submission program,

Thank you for this! I didn’t know there was a random submission program. I presume this is normal and part of CE/CV? The only two flags I could think of were having a typo on the dates of one of my foreign travels that I already reported in my initial CE SF86 eApp (which was accepted and later self-reported that the dates were wrong upon realizing a few months ago), and an NSA T5 investigation which was just initated but closed out due to insufficient processing time for suitability tasks for an internship.

Have heard that having been enrolled in DoD CE doesn’t mean you’re enrolled in IC CE. If you’re clearance is going for a crossover (no IC clearance) you likely don’t have CE on the IC side

Thank you, this is much more helpful and makes more sense! My clearance CE enrollment occurred when my clearance was held under DCSA as a security guard for a DOD contractor. I never processed directly with my DoD IC agency since my IC clearance was adjudicated due to the hiring freeze, so this would be the first time I’d onboard directly with an IC client.
