Does A Missed Call Mean Anything?

Hi! Very stressed so if anyone has any insight that would be helpful. I had a few polygraphs for a three letter agency last week and has told neither went well but my file was sent to adjudication. I missed a call from my recruiter earlier (no voicemail) and called back but didn’t get a response. I also sent an email. I don’t think I’ll get a response today because it’s nearly 5 east coast time. What does it typically mean if the recruiter calls? Acception, rejection, more info needed? I’d really appreciate any insight

It could be lots of things. The one thing it would NOT be is a rejection. Recruiters don’t call you to reject you. You either get an email, or dead silence.

The fact that your file went to adjudication after your second polygraph means that you are moving along in the process. If you “failed” your polygraph, your case would most likely not have gone to adjudication and you would have received a notification shortly after that you would be discontinued from the process.

Your recruiter may have called you because you may have to do a third polygraph. This sometimes happens and your recruiter called you to schedule to your next session. Any ways, if you keep us posted, we may be able to help and give you insight.

Recruiters do sometimes call to let you know that they are rescinding their offer letter. I had one recently because my adjudication was taking too long. I was told they set a deadline in that company and that if it is not done by then then they rescind. “Usually” the pornographer will tell you if you passed or not or if they believe you will need to come back.

Thanks so much! I haven’t gotten a call or email back yet! Do you know if that’s typical! Good to know it’s not a rejection

That is good to know! I was confused about why I was told I didn’t do well on the questions but that it would be sent to adjudication… I asked if I would get to come back for a third and she said there were no issues on her end but it was up to adjudication! Any insight on what this might mean?

Also I haven’t gotten a call or email back from recruiter today

What it means is you that your polygrapher does not have any issues with your result, however, the adjudicator may not agree with your polygraphers decision and the adjudicator wants a third polygraph.

If you are with the agency who I believe you are processing with, the polygrapher and adjudicator are two separate people, as I am sure you already know. The adjudicator has the authority to order another polygraph if they do not feel satisfied with your results, completely independent of what your polygrapher thinks. You will most likely also have a completely different polygrapher should you get a third session. Typically, most applicants only have to go through three.

Your experience with the polygraph is quite typical. The vast majority of the applicants have to go through two polygraphs, with a few getting a third polygraph. Just because you get a third polygraph, does not mean that anything is wrong. There are people I have known that got three and later got cleared to work.

Check to see if your voice box is full. Recruiter could have tried to leave a voicemail but it was full.

Allow me to rephrase: I’ve never personally heard of a recruiter calling to pull an offer off the table.
