I use eFiles for case documents, records from authorized internet sources, to include DoD SAFE, Subject/Source emails, request letters i send via eFax/DoD SAFE, etc. My handwritten notes are not scanned, but i often write my Subject interviews in Word before putting them in the reporting program - those drafts are kept in the eFile.
CACI has begun testing these yes. It is a hard change in nit going to lie. Makes it easier in some ways and terrible in others . I’m working DHS but I think it is both DHS and DCSA .
How does this even work? Does CACI have their own program or do you just type into word docs/pdfs? I would imagine this makes typing reports 10x faster if while interviewing you can just export it right into a report.
I don’t see how handwritten notes can totally be stopped. I’ve had plenty of interviews in places where myself and the person I’m interviewing couldn’t bring a cell phone, computer, or watch into the building. Why/How would a transient investigator be allowed to bring any sort of electronic note taking device into these buildings?
