I’m looking for some insight on FAA suitability for a Tier 2 (Moderate Risk / Public Trust) position.
I’ve fully disclosed everything during pre-screening and on my SF-85P.
Timeline:

Arrest: October 2025

Court: January 2026

Outcome: 1-year unsupervised probation (PBJ – Maryland)
At the time of the incident, I was Active Guard/Reserve. Since this type of position counts as a “favorable action,” I had to step down from my full-time role after reporting the incident to my chain of command the same day. A suspension of favorable actions (FLAG) was initiated, which I also disclosed on the SF-85P.
Current Situation:

Still on probation (unsupervised)

Court disposition was about 4 months ago

Still serving part-time in the military

TS/SCI clearance is still active on the military side
Main Concern:
Since my probation is still ongoing and the incident is relatively recent, what are my chances of passing FAA suitability?
I’ve been fully transparent and compliant with everything, but I’m unsure how heavily the “recency” factor and open probation will weigh against me.
Any insight or similar experiences would be appreciated.
