Favorable adjudication and near immediate suspension?

So I had applied for a private BI company that does contractor work for the government. A few weeks after my meeting with the BI, going over my SF86, I received an email from the company telling me that I have a favorable adjudication. The next day I got a call from an HR rep telling me that NBIB has suspended my adjudication.

So here are my concerns:

Most of my references, professional or otherwise, have not been interviewed yet.

My credit was pulled prior to my meeting and there seems to be nothing wrong with it.

I know there’s no definitive answer, but what are the possible events that could have happened? My best guess is that someone jumped the gun before everything was completed.

I’ve never heard that phrase before… ‘suspended adjudication.’ Is that an NBIB thing?

That’s what the HR person said. I don’t know if that’s a thing either.

Her exact words are “This email is to inform you that the National Background Investigation Bureau (NBIB), has suspended your adjudication.” That, and they may ask me for more information. It’s been a few weeks and I’ve heard nothing.

Sounds like your interim was denied… you will probably have to wait for the clearance to be completed before the final decision.
