Anyone seeing a slow down in investigations for contractors as a result of the freeze?
What company has a freeze, or is it 1099? This is the first I’ve heard about it.
Nope. No effect in my area yet.
I know our agency just announced no term extensions or renewals…and…we are going to relook contracts for efficiencies. Our 50% staffing cut underway now, and yet another budget cut 1 October. My contract team of 5 is constantly looked at for reduction. I’m grateful their production is indisputable, having developed over 5k pages of new training material. But I still need keep the budget buzzards at bay.
What is the current hiring climate for investigators? I see so many positions on Peraton, CACI, Xcelerate, etc. It seems they are hiring like crazy but who is being investigated?
Work has been low since 9/24. I thought it was the fiscal year bs they always use as an excuse but it hasn’t really picked up since then. So not as many are being investigated since 9/24. Prior to 9/24 work was moderate to heavy.
Could work be slower because of the increase of telephone/VTC? Cases are getting done quicker now.
Good point. That’s probably a huge factor.
My work has not slowed down and my company is still actively hiring investigators.
I’m 1099-the overflow department, so not much of an overflow for a good while.
Probably the 1099 contractors or Sub Contractors to the Primes. I am not seeing any slowdown
